Managers and supervisors are only human, and as such, have biases even if they don’t realize it or don’t think they do. As a manager or supervisor, it is important every decision made at work and about your team members is strictly job-related. As humans, we naturally have biases toward people like us and biases against those unlike us, so being an effective manager often requires some reflection and objective decision-making as part of your process. This course will help you recognize some of these biases.
This course provides some sample questions and identifies whether these scenarios are appropriate to ask. This course helps managers and supervisors differentiate between job-related inquiries and questions that could lead to a discrimination claim.
Utilize this course among your management to help foster a greater understanding of what is legally permissible to ask in an employment situation and to encourage a more inclusive working environment for all employees within your organization.
This course is in the Video On Demand format, to read about Video On Demand features click here.
