Setting goals helps employees to achieve success by developing skills, abilities, and experiences. This training course teaches the five-step model of setting SMART goals.
SMART is an acronym for goals that are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. Viewers learn how to apply each step of SMART goal setting. For example, the first step is Specific. Instead of setting a goal to “increase sales” the goal needs to reach deeper into what the goal-setter wants to achieve. The course poses questions, such as “what do we want to accomplish and why?” to help define the desired results.
