Ergonomic risk factors can lead to MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders), and these types of injuries can result from many kinds of jobs. Ergonomic programs help reduce the risk of injuries. This training focuses on practices to help improve ergonomics with muscle and skeletal functions used while at work.
Improving Ergonomic work stations and avoiding repetitive tasks that lead to MSDs are part of the work practice controls outlined in this multimedia presentation. This course shows users how posture, breaks in repetition, fatigue, and correct ways of lifting heavy objects can reduce MSDs. Neutral positions are reviewed in this training, for protecting and maintaining proper posture. Wrist support and lumbar support are important for reducing injuries as well. The training demonstrates several ways to reduce ergonomic illnesses and injuries.
Use this course to prepare employees to recognize symptoms of an MSD and to use safe work practices to prevent one from occurring. This course makes for a great refresher training for experienced employees.
