Overview

Each and every one of us has the ability to influence the behavior of others. Our expectations of someone's behavior impacts how we behave and how they interact with us. These observable truths are explored in this online training video on self-fulfilling prophecies and managing expectations.

This video training introduces a concept referred to as the Expectation Cycle, based on psychological principles drawn from the infamous Pygmalion effect. This cycle fundamentally explains how leaders and others can use their expectations to influence conduct, positively and negatively. The four components of the Expectation Cycle are climate, input, output and feedback. Each factor is explored in order to highlight how it can be used to get the most from all of your interactions using a combination of dramatization and real-life experiences.

Upon completion of this training program leaders are equipped to identify how their actions can contribute to improved employee performance. Once leaders understand how to positively impact the behavior of others everyone wins.
