Overview

This video explores the theory of chaos and how it can be beneficial in the workplace. Explained in the video is how chaos, which is a natural part of life, can be used to an organization's advantage. Three organizations highlighted in this training include the U.S. Army, DuPont, and a school district. Each organization explored the relationship between members and promoted a team environment based on the science of chaos. The purpose is to have a flourishing organization while using chaos in the positive aspect to keep the organization going.

As opposed to having a leader who gives orders and pick who should implement certain tasks, experts in the film point out everyone in the organization is important and should have some task important enough to contribute to the organization. Everyone's input would better serve the organization. Experts know this isn't a perfect process and it takes time, but they stress the importance of knowing the companies' shared purpose and how positive chaos can work.

Moving away from the old practices of the workplace where job descriptions and perceived status can determine how everyone interacts with each other. This training depicts how to cultivate and promote a 21st century work environment.
